Kofoeds School

Kofoeds School is a social institution based in Copenhagen, Denmark. It was founded in 1928 by the social reformer Hans Christian Kofoed and aims to help vulnerable and marginalized people in society by providing education, counseling, and practical assistance.

Kofoeds School offers a range of courses and programs tailored to the individual needs of its students. These include literacy and language classes, vocational training, and personal development courses.

Our approach is based on the philosophy that everyone has the right and ability to learn and develop, regardless of their background or circumstances. Our mission is to empower people to take control of their lives and improve their social and economic prospects.

The Kofoeds School Code of Conduct

Kofoeds School is a diverse and inclusive community, where we want to treat each other properly.

To support this, we have made some common guidelines – or principles – of good behavior, and what to expect as part of the community at Kofoeds School.

Café and secondhand shops

As part of our mission we operate a café and three second-hand shops in the ground floor of our premises on Amager. These are open to the public.

You are very welcome to drop by our café and reception – Kofoeds Kant – at Holmbladsgade 120 and enjoy a warm cup of cofee. Or check out the unique products we offer in our socioeconomic secondhand shops in Nyrnberggade on our Instagram.

At the moment we do not have further information about our services available in English. You are welcome to explore our Danish site, or call us with any questions.
